OUAT Partnership

We are thrilled to announce our successful partnership with OUAT (Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology) Since 2023, this collaboration has been dedicated to exploring the transformative impact of Co-compost on agriculture and vegetable production.

Through this partnership, we aim to connect the potential of Co-compost, a sustainable solution resulting from converting faecal sludge into compost, to enhance agricultural practices and promote environmental stewardship. By leveraging OUAT’s expertise in agriculture and FSMC’s commitment to innovative waste management solutions, we are pioneering new pathways towards a more sustainable and resilient future.

OUAT’s contributions to the partnership include,

  • Finalizing the quantity/doses of Co-compost required for optimal results in vegetables and agricultural practices.
  • Assessing the impact of Co-compost on soil quality post-application, including any observed increases or decreases.
  • Analyzing the quality of production and the nutritional content of crops grown using Co-compost compared to those using chemical fertilizers.
  • Conducting comparative studies to highlight the differences between chemical fertilizers and Co-compost in terms of their effects on soil health, crop yield and nutritional value.

Together, we are not only addressing critical environmental challenges but also fostering economic growth and social well-being in communities across the region. Through laborious research and collaboration, we are paving the way for sustainable agricultural practices that promote soil health, enhance crop productivity, and contribute to a healthier environment.
