The inception of 58M marked the establishment of FSMC with a clear vision to deliver impactful solutions in sanitation and sustainable development.
PSMC continued to support and facilitate the construction of technically sound and sustainable toilets across India.
FSMC initiated the Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP) in Angul, Odisha to strengthen safe and sustainable sanitation systems
Decentralised FSM units were developed with support from donors and private sector funding. This enabled scalable and efficient sanitation solutions.
Co-composting was implemented by combining treated faecal sludge with organic waste using municipal infrastructure.
The manure was rigorously tested for contaminants and nutrient content to ensure quality and safety.The compost is now market-ready, priced at INR 20/kg.
The field study report on co-composting was officially released by OUAT, highlighting key findings and best practices.
